Responsibilities:

• Design stable, reliable, and effective databases.
• Optimize and maintain legacy systems considering future enhancements.
• Modify databases according to requests and perform tests.
• Solve database usage issues and malfunctions.
• Liaise with developers to improve applications and establish best practices.
• Gather user requirements and identify new features.
• Develop technical and training manuals.
• Provide data management support to users.
• Ensure all database programs meet company and performance requirements.
• Research and suggest new database products, services, and protocols.
• Responsible for high quality, bug-free development per coding standards, in close collaboration with other members of the development/QA team.
• Participate in daily project scrum meetings and provide daily status reports.
• Create user documentation for completed solutions.
• Work with the support team to resolve production support issues.
• Mentor junior developers and help build a knowledge base.
• Participate in peer reviews.
• Assist with technical documentation.
• Consult with QA staff on strategies for testing specific work items.

Required Skills:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or Information Technology.
• 8 to 10 years of software development and testing experience.
• Experience with SQL database design, SQL (MSSQL, MySQL), NoSQL databases.
• Experience with SQL (MSSQL, PostgreSQL), ORM, NoSQL (MongoDB).
• Solid experience with NodeJS, Nest related technologies.
• Experience working with REST APIs, API security.
• Prior experience working with ReactJS and other UI frameworks.
• Experience with Azure/Cloud Development.
• Experience with Docker/Kubernetes.
• Prior experience with Product Development.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Capable of system tuning, code optimization and bug solving.
• Familiar with source control principles and systems.
• Strong problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Good understanding of tools - Jira, Confluence etc.
• In-depth understanding of data management (e.g., permissions, recovery, security, and
• monitoring).
• An understanding of SDLC and experience working in an Agile team is preferred.
• An ability to understand front-end user requirements and a problem-solving attitude.
