Group Accountant/Finance Manager

Job Title: Finance Manager/ Group Accountant

Job Profile:

• Overall responsibility for the day-to-day financial management of the company.
• Preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual group consolidated financial statements to meet statutory deadlines.
• Preparation of annual budgets, monthly revised forecasts, and cash flow statements.
• Oversee the working capital cycle and maintain optimal cash flow levels.
• Provide financial insights and recommendations, including cost-saving initiatives, to senior management to support strategic decision-making.
• Preparation of variance analysis, including KPIs, and verification of accurate product/process costing.
• Coordinate with auditors, bankers, and regulatory authorities (e.g., tax authorities, SEC, CSE) to ensure compliance and smooth financial operations.
• Review and enhance internal controls and financial policies while mentoring and developing the finance team for high performance.

Personal Profile:

• Fully qualified member of CASL, CIMA (UK), CPA (Australia), or ACCA (UK). A degree in Accountancy and/or an MBA is an added advantage.
• 5 to 10 years of progressive experience in finance/accounting, preferably in multi-sector operations and PLC environments.
• In-depth knowledge of accounting principles (SLFRS/LKAS) and the ability to prepare full sets of accounts.
• Strong understanding of industry tax laws, compliance regulations, and statutory requirements (e.g., Companies Act, SEC, CSE regulations).
• Proven experience in group financial accounts, financial operations, planning, reporting, budgeting, and ensuring compliance.
• Experience with ERP systems, including QuickBooks, and proficiency in advanced Microsoft Excel techniques.
• A team player with strong leadership, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
