Position: Assistant Manager - Product Development
JOB ROLE
Requirements:
Educational Qualifications :BSc. Eng (Hons) in Textile and Process Engineering. PG Dip/Maters in engineering, manufacturing or Business is preferred.
Professional Experience:
- 4-5 Years in a related field of product development, product innovation or yarn manufacturing.
- Proven experience of working with key customer, suppliers & brands for new product developments.
- Experience in Product Costing & Knowledge on understanding financial documents, financial evaluations of projects.
- Experience in PLM/ERP context.

Responsibilities:
- Smooth transition of development to bulk assuring error free, defect free manufacturing.
- Maintain technically smooth production through accurate machine setup, accurate recipes, dye profiles and daily investigations by technical team.
- New product developments through concepts, technology developments, Assessing technical feasibility of state-of-the-art machineries and make tailor-made adjustments and authorize to release newly set up machines to production.
- Providing proactive and corrective solutions for internal technical concerns. Carryout technical research for problem solving and to gain new knowledge.
- Provide fast and reliable technical solutions for customer concerns. Frontend representation of customer technical visits and customer concerns.
- Assessing technical feasibility and improve technical reliability of outsourcing partners through regular visits and Collaboratively work with customers and develop new product categories of dyed yarn.
- Ensure that the team is effectively managed, resourced, and trained and appropriate targets are allocated/achieved to meet agreed business objectives.
- Discover, Develop, Implement New product/color development technical initiatives & Processes.
- Analyze market conditions, identify current product trends, market pricing structures, maintain appropriate price list and liaise with customers in order to ensure customer requirements while obtaining the best benefit to the organization and expanding market share simultaneously, review on an on-going basis, the product range that needs to be added to the portfolio and corresponding sampling requirements in order to identify any new business opportunities / developments required for the target market/new product verticals.
- Gain a thorough understanding of customers buying procedures/seasonal concept requirements and identify appropriate service levels (including sample submission, delivery, set standards) for each customer to ensure that product presentations are in line with customer requirements.
- Evaluate financial and technological feasibility of technical projects, ensure technical projects meet its required outcome.
- Perform additional duties commensurate with the current role, as and when requested by management.
