Requirements:

Education:

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Chemistry or a related field, specialized dyeing qualifications preferred.

Professional Experience:

• 6-8 years of experience in dyeing and color matching in a textile manufacturing environment, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
• Expertise in color matching and thorough knowledge of dye/chemical properties.

Personal Attributes:

• Strong leadership and strategic thinking skills.
• Proficiency in color matching and dye/chemical properties.
• Excellent analytical skills and team spirit.
• Effective at people management and relationship building.
• Ability to meet strict deadlines and manage workload efficiently.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

Technical Specification Management:

• Analyze customer and technical specifications to determine dyeing parameters.
• Collaborate with product development and merchandising teams to develop and refine shades and recipes, ensuring production viability and customer satisfaction.

Process Development and Optimization:

• Develop and optimize dyeing processes for new qualities, ensuring a systematic approach to achieving production goals.
• Maintain and update recipes, and identify opportunities for technological improvements.

Compliance and Safety:

• Ensure all dyeing processes comply with Health & Safety standards and regulatory directives.
• Maintain 100% compliance with all internal and external standards.

Operational Support:

• Manage and update recipe databases and lab dip schedules.
• Train team members, conduct meetings to resolve issues, and ensure that dyeing processes meet production requirements.

Team and Employee Relations:

• Foster positive employee relations within the dyeing team.
• Support management in minimizing turnover, and absenteeism, and addressing employee grievances.
• Ensure high team morale and effective collaboration.

Additional Duties:

• Perform additional responsibilities as required by management.
