Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
• 7+ years of experience Proven experience as a Storage Engineer or in a similar role.
• In-depth knowledge of storage technologies, including SAN, NAS, and object storage.
• Proficiency in storage management tools and platforms.
• Strong understanding of data backup and recovery strategies.
• Familiarity with security protocols and compliance standards.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills

Preferred Qualifications:



• Certification in relevant storage technologies
• IBM Storwize storage family hands-on and design
• Cisco MDS fiber channel switches. hands-on and design
• NetApp FAS filers with on tap ver 8+ DDOT, hands-on and design
• Principles and experience in managing backup systems.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

Storage Infrastructure Design and Implementation:

• Design, implement, and manage storage solutions to meet the organization's data storage needs.
• Evaluate and recommend storage technologies and solutions based on business requirements.

Storage System Administration:

• Administer and maintain storage systems, including monitoring performance, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring high availability.
• Implement and manage data backup and recovery solutions.
• Replication to other storage devices.

Capacity Planning:

• Perform regular capacity planning and forecasting to anticipate future storage requirements.
• Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure seamless integration with other infrastructure components.

Security and Compliance:

• Implement and enforce security measures to safeguard stored data.
• Ensure storage systems comply with relevant industry regulations and standards.

Collaboration and Support:

• Work closely with other IT professionals, including network engineers and system administrators, to ensure a cohesive and integrated IT environment.
• Provide support for storage-related issues and collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve complex problems.
• Incident, change and problem management.

Documentation:

• Maintain comprehensive documentation for storage configurations, processes, and procedures.
• Develop and update documentation for disaster recovery and high availability plans related to storage systems.
