Role Purpose

As a Senior Data Scientist, you'll lead our data science practice, turning data into actionable insights, building predictive models, and driving business value. You'll collaborate closely with analysts, data engineers, and cross-functional teams to support automation, business intelligence, and strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Data Science Initiatives: Drive the data science roadmap, design scalable models, and productionize them for business use.

  • Develop Predictive Models: Utilize machine learning for business-critical use cases (e.g., churn propensity, customer segmentation).

  • Automation: Build automation solutions using Python and AWS services, integrating with APIs and data pipelines.

  • Data Engineering Collaboration: Partner with engineering teams to develop robust ETL workflows and ensure data reliability.

  • Performance & Security: Optimize data ecosystem performance and enforce strong data governance and compliance practices.

  • Analytical Support: Provide structured, clean datasets to analysts and stakeholders for reporting and business insights.

  • Innovation & Best Practices: Stay updated with industry trends and contribute to the evolution of our analytics stack.

  • Production-ready ML models for business use.

  • Scalable, automated data workflows.

  • Clean, high-quality datasets.

  • Real-time insights and reports for business units.

  • Documentation and roadmaps for all data science projects.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelors in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or equivalent.

  • Proven hands-on experience with machine learning, data pipelines, and model deployment on cloud infrastructure (especially AWS).

  • Expertise in Python, SQL, and distributed computing tools (Apache Spark/Hadoop).

  • Proficiency in AWS tools: Redshift, SageMaker, Lambda, S3, SQS.

  • Familiar with DevOps practices, Docker, and Kubernetes (a plus).

  • Experience with Git, collaborative coding, and data orchestration tools (Airflow, Prefect, etc.).

  • Telecom industry experience is a plus.

Soft Skills

  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking ability.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration with technical and non-technical teams.

  • Attention to detail and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Safety & Compliance

  • Complete required safety training.

  • Follow all safety procedures and report incidents or hazards.

  • Ensure direct reports (if any) are trained, supervised, and compliant with safety standards.
