WE ARE HIRING: Manager - Reconciliation Monitoring & Control

Key Responsibilities:

• Centrally monitor the Suspense Account and other General Ledger (GL) account reconciliations of Branches and Departments.
• Ensure reviewing of all reconciliations submitted by Branches and Departments within a stipulated timeframe.
• Escalate any significant reconciliation issues, including non-compliance, fraud, operational losses, and errors, to the relevant higher authorities immediately.
• Ensure proper Follow up process is in place on the resolution of reconciliation issues with the respective branches and departments.
• Notify relevant Corporate Management members about unresolved issues and delays in the submission of GL reconciliations under their purview.
• Define reconciliation methodologies and scopes, and guiding branches and departments in their implementation.
• Identify training requirements and conduct trainings on reconciliation procedures.
• Monitor system developments concerning reconciliations and provide valuable insights for improvement.
• Strengthen and develop the team assigned to the department to ensure the effective execution of responsibilities.

Requirements - 

• A member of CA Sri Lanka (Chartered Accountant) with post-qualified experience of 10 or more years
• Three (03) years of audit experience is a must, preferably in a reputed audit firm
• Auditing or working experience in a Bank would be an added advantage
• Practical experience in performing & monitoring GL account reconciliations would be an added advantage
