Working Days & Hours:

• Monday to Friday: 8:30 AM 5:00 PM

• Saturday: Work from home (if not urgent)
  

About the Role

We are looking for a dynamic and results-driven Assistant Sales Manager to join our Freight Forwarding & Logistics team. The ideal candidate will have strong relationships with shipping lines and airlines operating services out of Colombo and a proven track record in sales within the logistics and supply chain industry.

Key Responsibilities

Support the sales team in achieving revenue targets and business growth.
Develop new client relationships and maintain strong existing customer connections.
Identify strategic business opportunities to expand market reach.
Negotiate with shipping lines, airlines, and logistics providers to secure competitive rates.
Coordinate with operations, customer service, and finance to ensure smooth transactions.
Provide clients with tailored freight solutions across air, sea, and land logistics.
Stay updated with industry trends, market rates, and competitors strategies.

What You Need to Succeed

4+ years of sales experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or supply chain, with at least 2 years in a senior role.
Strong connections with shipping lines and airlines operating out of Colombo.
Excellent negotiation and business development skills.
Strong understanding of international & domestic logistics operations.
Ability to work independently and as part of a high-performing sales team.
Proficiency in MS Office, CRM tools, and logistics software.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
