We Are Hiring: Senior Training Executive

Business Unit: Information Technology
Location: Sri Lanka
Reporting to: Senior Training Consultant 

Role Overview

The Senior Training Executive will be responsible for designing, developing, and delivering training programs to support IT teams in Sri Lanka and globally. The role includes conducting induction programs, soft skills training, and Lunch & Learn sessions, ensuring the highest standards of professional development.

Key Responsibilities

Training Consultancy

  • Follow structured course development methodologies for Soft Skills and Induction training.

  • Deliver blended learning solutions through classroom and virtual training.

  • Collaborate with external training providers and maintain strong relationships.

  • Evaluate training effectiveness and recommend improvements.

Training Design

  • Create training materials, including videos, Quick Reference Guides (QRGs), and slide decks.

  • Develop evaluation surveys and structured learning documentation.

  • Maintain and update training content on SharePoint.

Training Delivery

  • Conduct New Starter Induction sessions monthly (classroom-based and virtual).

  • Deliver Soft Skills training, covering topics like Time Management, Global Communication Skills, Presentation Skills, and Business Skills.

  • Organize and conduct Lunch & Learn sessions virtually as part of the weekly program.

Other Responsibilities

  • Attend Train-the-Trainer sessions with ATT to master Induction and Soft Skills courses.

  • Manage training invitations, reminders, and attendance tracking via SharePoint.

  • Develop connections with local universities for internships and training programs.

  • Contribute to the IT Learning & Development (L&D) Newsletter.

  • Collaborate with global HR and IT stakeholders to design new soft skills courses.

Key Skills & Experience


Required:

Self-motivated, organized, and confident in managing training programs.
Strong business English (written & spoken) with excellent communication skills.
Experience working with an overseas line manager.
Proven experience in delivering classroom & virtual training for up to 12 delegates.
Ability to train a diverse, global audience across different time zones.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint).
Experience in the full training cycle, from design to evaluation.

Preferred (Advantageous):

⭐ 4+ years of corporate training experience in a global financial firm.
⭐ Proven ability to design training programs from scratch.
⭐ Confidence in handling IT Managers, Directors, and external training partners..

Education & Qualifications

Bachelors degree (or equivalent experience) in Training, HR, or a related field.
Training Certifications (Preferred):

  • CIPD / TAP Training Certification (or willingness to obtain).

  • Sri Lankan Training Certifications:

    • Certified Professional Trainer (CPT) CIPM Sri Lanka

    • Train the Trainer Certification ITD Sri Lanka

    • Trainer Certification SLITAD Sri Lanka

    • National Vocational Qualifications (NVQ) TVEC Sri Lanka

    • Certified Trainer & Facilitator (CTF) ATD USA

    • Certified Speaking Professional (CSP) Toastmasters International

    • Certified Management Trainer ICF
