Qualifications:
Technical Knowledge:
- Strong ITIL (or equivalent) knowledge of IT Service Management/Delivery, with experience in industry leading applications such as Remedy or ServiceNow preferable.
- Demonstrable knowledge of Business Intelligence & Data Warehouse theory (Kimball methodology preferred).
- Knowledge of design and integration principles for complex, heterogeneous databases, data modelling and dimensional databases & data marts design experience.
Strong experience of the Microsoft BI Stack:
- Microsoft SQL Server 2019 (or greater) Database Engine (inc. SSMS), Integration
- Services (SSIS), & Reporting Services (SSRS).
- Experience in using other database platforms, including Oracle, MySQL will be useful.
- Knowledge of C#, Microsoft .NET technologies or a background in coding is desirable.
- Experience with Microsoft Azure technologies (including Synapse) is preferable, or other cloud solutions desirable.
- Power BI and knowledge of non-Microsoft visualization tools such as QlikView or Tableau desirable.
- Experience with agile development tools desirable (e.g.. Microsoft Azure DevOps, Jira, etc.).
Experience:
- Prior experience managing a support and/or development team is essential.
- Strong knowledge and experience in ITIL Service Management (IA, Incident, Problem & Request Management) or equivalent.
- Extensive experience with the Microsoft BI tool-stack on Data Warehousing projects.
- Experience of delivering Business Intelligence and Data Warehouse solutions.
- Experience designing and developing enterprise grade software solutions.
- Strong database knowledge/experience, including programming, maintenance, optimization and troubleshooting.
- Experience with agile development methodologies including Kanban and Scrum.
- Experience with automated testing.
- Strong knowledge of industry data standards and architectures.
- Requirements definition and data analysis, data modelling experience in data warehouse environment of insurance/financial services domain an advantage.
- Knowledge of Insurance industry an advantage.
- Experience of working in a corporate environment an advantage.

- Knowledge of one or more formal project management methodologies (Agile methodology experience would be highly beneficial).
