Position: Lead ETL QA

JOB ROLE

Requirements:

• 6+ years of IT experience with a minimum of 4 years in ETL testing.
• Strong expertise in SQL and the ability to write complex queries in big data environments.
• Hands-on experience with ETL tools and data warehousing concepts.
• Experience in automating test cases and using testing frameworks for ETL processes.
• Proficiency with AWS Cloud technologies (e.g., S3, Redshift, Lambda, etc.).
• Strong data analysis skills and the ability to troubleshoot data issues effectively.
• Experience working in Agile development environments and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis skills.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with business teams and stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

• Test Planning & Strategy:
  • Review requirements specifications and technical design documents to understand and derive comprehensive test scenarios.
  • Develop and implement test strategies for complex ETL initiatives, ensuring full test coverage.
• Test Design & Execution:
  • Design, develop, and execute manual and automated test cases for ETL processes.
  • Perform thorough data validation across the extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) phases.
• Automation & Efficiency:
  • Develop and implement automated testing frameworks to enhance testing efficiency and reduce manual effort.
  • Leverage scripting skills to optimize and automate data testing tasks.
• Issue Identification & Tracking:
  • Identify, record, document, and track bugs and data quality issues throughout the testing lifecycle.
  • Ensure issues are thoroughly analyzed and resolved before the release of data to production.
• Collaboration & Communication:
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, developers, and business analysts, to understand system requirements and ensure alignment with testing processes.
  • Communicate test progress, issues, and results to stakeholders and management in a clear and actionable format.
• Regression & Validation:
  • Perform comprehensive regression testing on fixes and new features to ensure no impact on existing functionality.
  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity after every change or update to the ETL pipeline.
• Continuous Improvement:
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of best practices for ETL testing processes.
  • Identify areas for process improvement in data quality testing and suggest solutions to enhance test coverage and accuracy.
