Job Title:Manager / Senior Manager Tax and Regulatory Reporting

Roles and Responsibilities

1. Regulatory reporting

  • Perform quarterly return and annual return.
  • Ensure that the regulatory reporting is compliance with the IRCSL guidelines.
  • Manage the ad-hoc information requirements of IRCSL.
  • Process month end journal entries of relating to IRCSL charges etc.
  • Provide monthly market consistent balance sheet to actuarial department.

2. Taxation

  • Ensure that the company tax payments such as WHT, Corporate tax, Crop levy, Cess,
  • Stamp duty etc. are compliant with the Inland Revenue Act.
  • Review the annual returns indirect & direct taxes including Crop levy & CESS payable
  • Overall responsibility for balance sheet reconciliations pertaining to taxes.
  • Obtain the tax clearance from the Inland Revenue Department with relating to foreign
  • payments.
  • Coordination with IRD for the to fix exchange rate for remittances to minimize
  • Exchange rate differences
  • Dealing with inter departments & Foreign vendors, tax consultants for WHT payments.
  • Review month end journal entries with relating to tax provisions.
  • Settle the prevailing tax assessments at a minimum cost.
  • Keep eye on the industry and perform necessary actions when it Is required.
  • Provide the business support by tax advices
  • Furnish the annual report notes which applicable to tax payable balance and expenses.
  • Prepare the group tax templates quarterly.

Candidates are required to have

  • Degree in Accounting or Finance from a recognized university.
  • Full Qualification in CIMA / ACCA or CA.
  • Minimum of 6 years of work experience in the Tax / Finance.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
