Job Title: SysOps Engineer
Location: Colombo 07, Sri Lanka
Working Hours: 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Working Days: Monday to Friday
Work Model: Hybrid (1 day in-office, 4 days remote)

Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated SysOps Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of cloud infrastructure, particularly AWS, and possess strong expertise in designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud environments.


This role requires proficiency in various tools and technologies, including VPN, VPC designing, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), HashiCorp Packer, Jenkins, GitLab, Docker, and Bash scripting. Additionally, knowledge in implementing and maintaining log aggregation systems like Grafana Loki or Elasticsearch, as well as metrics aggregator systems like Prometheus and visualization/monitoring tools like Grafana, is essential.

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure, including VPNs, VPCs, and other networking components.
• Utilize Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles and tools, such as Terraform, to automate the deployment and management of cloud resources.
• Develop and maintain build pipelines using Jenkins and GitLab to automate the build, test, and deployment processes.
• Implement and maintain disaster recovery plans in the cloud environment, ensuring high availability and resilience.
• Manage security aspects of cloud infrastructure, including implementing ransomware mitigation processes and ensuring compliance with security best practices.
• Utilize Docker and other containerization technologies to containerize applications and manage their deployment in the cloud.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide cloud-native support for applications and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
• Stay up to date with the latest cloud technologies and best practices, continuously seeking opportunities to optimize and improve cloud infrastructure and processes.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience working as a Cloud Operations Engineer or a similar role.
• Strong expertise in AWS cloud services, including but not limited to EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, etc.
• Proficiency in designing and implementing VPNs, VPCs, and other networking components in AWS.
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, particularly Terraform.
• Hands-on experience with immutable infrastructure design using HashiCorp Packer for building machine images.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Jenkins and GitLab.
