Senior Software Engineer (Advanced WordPress and Backend)

Responsibilities

• Creative development decision-making
• Technical planning and recommendation
• Lead development projects in a headless WordPress environment, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance.
• Configure and implement APIs for content delivery and management.
• Optimize database performance and ensure seamless integration with WordPress applications.
• Collaborate with various departments and stakeholders to deploy changes and ensure the reliability of web applications.
• Collaborate as part of a small, dynamic team, contributing to diverse projects.
• Provide technical leadership to the organization, guiding through best web practices and efficient workflows.

Qualifications

• Technical web development-related skills
• Strong experience with WordPress web development
• Strong experience with CSS and CSS frameworks (TailWindCSS preferred)
• Experience with headless CMS platforms like WordPress and Contentful.
• Experience as a development leading member on multiple concurrent projects
• Working understanding and ability to use git repositories and version control
• Desire to learn new technologies and languages

Nice to have Qualifications

• Experience with JavaScript-based Static Site Generators, Next or Gatsby
• Experience with TailWindCSS
• Experience with Node.js web service development
