Tasks and Responsibilities:

Train Lab Personnel

  • Develop and implement comprehensive training programs for all laboratory personnel to ensure they are proficient in the systems and procedures related to color management.
  • Continuously update training materials to reflect the latest industry standards, technological advancements, and internal procedures.
  • Conduct regular training sessions and assessments to identify skill gaps and provide refresher training as needed.
  • Ensure that all personnel are equipped with the necessary knowledge to perform their duties effectively and to maintain high-quality standards in color accuracy.

Ensure timely updates to the system for effective workflow.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records within the company's color management system.
  • Ensure that all relevant data, including color specifications, lab dip results, and production approvals, are promptly entered into the system.
  • Work closely with IT and other departments to ensure that the color management system is functioning optimally and that any issues are resolved quickly.
  • Regularly review system data to identify trends, potential issues, and opportunities for process improvement.

Monitor color shades against customer requirements and technical specifications.

  • Closely monitor the accuracy of color shades produced in the lab and during production to ensure they meet customer requirements and technical specifications.
  • Implement systematic checks and controls to detect any variations in color shades early in the process.
  • Investigate and analyze any deviations from the required color standards, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Work closely with the production and quality assurance teams to ensure color consistency throughout the production process.

Identify opportunities to improve coloration technology.

  • Stay abreast of advancements in coloration technology and assess their applicability to the company's processes.
  • Collaborate with R&D, production, and technical teams to test and implement new technologies and methods that could improve color quality, reduce lead times, and enhance overall efficiency.
  • Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of color quality and the success of new technologies.
  • Proactively seek feedback from customers and internal stakeholders to identify areas for improvement in color management.

Ensure efficient execution of trials required by production.

  • Coordinate and manage color trials requested by the production team to ensure they are conducted efficiently and effectively.
  • Ensure that all trials are well-documented, with clear objectives, methodologies, and outcomes.
  • Work with color technicians to interpret trial results and make data-driven decisions regarding color approvals and adjustments.
  • Minimize the occurrence of incorrect decisions by providing clear guidelines, training, and support to color technicians during trials.

Ensure timely completion of all color-related Retailer Accreditations

  • Manage the process of obtaining and maintaining retailer accreditations related to color standards.
  • Ensure all accreditation requirements are met within the specified timeframes, including any necessary audits, documentation, and submissions.
  • Liaise with external auditors and retailer representatives to facilitate smooth and successful accreditation processes.
  • Implement corrective actions based on audit feedback to ensure continuous improvement and compliance with retailer standards.

Maintain and update all relevant color information and records.

  • Ensure that all color-related records, such as Color Master cards, Shade Bands, and Color Standards, are meticulously maintained and regularly updated.
  • Implement a robust documentation process to ensure the availability and accuracy of color information for reference by various departments.
  • Ensure that records are stored securely and are easily accessible to authorized personnel when needed.
  • Conduct periodic audits of records to ensure they are up to date and comply with company and industry standards.

Ensure conformity with accepted working standards and Health & Safety directives.

  • Ensure that all color-related processes adhere to the companys working standards and comply with applicable Health & Safety regulations.
  • Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments to identify potential hazards in the color lab and production areas.
  • Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures to minimize risks associated with color management processes.
  • Provide training and resources to lab personnel to ensure they understand and comply with safety directives.

Additional Responsibility

  • Perform additional duties commensurate with the current role, as and when requested by management.
