Requirements:
- Postgraduate Degree, MBA, CIMA, CIM, Postgraduate Diploma or an Equivalent Degree from a reputed university.
- Minimum 7-8 years experience in the industry with 2-3 years experience in a similar capacity
- Excellent leadership skills
- Possess a strategic & innovative mindset.
- Sound interpersonal skills & communication skills.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Manage the sales topline budget across assigned accounts to maintain and grow revenue. This includes monitoring the sales budget and collaborating to fill the sales pipeline.
- Develop and maintain a customer contact database, identify key decision-makers, and conduct periodic travel to meet with local and overseas buying offices. Perform comparative shopping reviews to expand the customer base.
- Analyze market conditions, identify current fabric buys, and understand market pricing structures. Liaise with local customers to ensure their requirements are identified and fulfilled effectively. Maintain an updated price list and landscape document.
- Ensure that pricing strategies are consistent and achievable to maximize organizational benefits. Aim to achieve the budgeted bottom line while simultaneously expanding market share.
- Gain a thorough understanding of customer buying procedures and seasonal calendars. Identify appropriate service levels for each customer to ensure product presentations align with their requirements.
- Continuously review the product range and corresponding sampling requirements (by product and colour) to identify business opportunities and developments for targeted markets.
- Work closely with the development team to obtain necessary technical support. Initiate and oversee the preparation of theoretical costing as required and manage the costing process.
- Effectively manage, resource, and train the sales team. Allocate and achieve appropriate sales targets and KPIs to meet business objectives, such as optimum capacity utilization and customer retention. Drive performance and accountability within the team.
- Facilitate and call meetings with internal and external stakeholders as needed to provide quick solutions to problems that may affect the company or customers.
- Ensure appropriate PFP stock levels are maintained for the target market. Participate in strategic pre-production meetings to address relevant issues.
- Prepare the monthly Sales & Marketing report to provide information for management decision-making.
