MANAGER MAINTENANCE

The ideal candidate should be young and energetic, below the age of 50. Self-motivated and able to handle the following areas of work:

Responsibilities:

• Manage Civil Engineering works connected with building maintenance, renovations, and new construction.
• Carry out routine maintenance work and attend to breakdowns of all building services.
• Implement preventive maintenance procedures on plant and equipment.
• Deal with unexpected and unplanned problems positively and implement procedures to minimize such breakdowns.
• Monitor the progress of new development projects and assist in ensuring completion within the estimated cost and timelines.
• Liaise with contractors, suppliers, and other third parties related to outsourced jobs.
• Ability to prepare periodic maintenance schedules for machinery and equipment, invite quotes from qualified suppliers/contractors, evaluating quotes, negotiating favorable terms, and recommending to management to secure such products and services.

Qualifications and Experience:

• BSc Engineering degree in Civil/Electrical/Building Services from a recognized University or equivalent qualifications with a minimum of 5 years post-qualifying experience, preferably in Building Maintenance.
• OR NDT / HND qualifications with a minimum of 10 years post-qualifying experience, preferably in Building Maintenance.
• Must have excellent computer literacy in MS Office, E-mail, and Internet and AutoCAD.
• Should possess an excellent command of English, both oral and written.
• Should be a person with high interpersonal and analytical skills, a self-starter who can work with minimum supervision.
• Knowledge in Project Management would be an added advantage.
• Experience in a Star Class hotel or a major Commercial Complex in building maintenance will be an added advantage.
