Working method : onsite
Working hours : 9am to 5pm
Working days : weekdays


About the Role:

We are seeking a strategic leader to serve as Head of Engineering. This role will drive innovation, scalability, and excellence across our platform while managing the engineering team in Sri Lanka. By aligning engineering strategies with business objectives, the Head of Engineering will play a critical role in delivering cutting-edge solutions.


Key Responsibilities:


Leadership & Team Development:

• Build and mentor a high-performing engineering team.
• Promote a culture of accountability, ownership, and continuous learning.
• Support career development through mentoring and advanced technical guidance.

Strategic & Operational Oversight:

• Collaborate with leadership to align engineering strategies with business goals.
• Oversee product roadmaps, ensuring high quality, scalability, and customer satisfaction.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends to drive innovation.

Resource & Process Management:

• Optimize resource allocation for project delivery and capacity planning.
• Continuously improve engineering processes, tools, and workflows.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

• Work with product managers and designers to ensure cohesive product development.
• Facilitate communication between engineering and other departments.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors/Masters in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of software engineering experience, with 5+ years in a leadership role.
• Proven expertise in data streaming architectures, microservices, and cloud infrastructures (AWS, Azure).
• Strong understanding of agile principles and software development practices.
• Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Experience in accounts payable automation or fintech solutions is a plus.
