Deputy General Manager - Business Development


Working days - Monday to Friday

Working time - 7.30am to 5.30pm

Location - Thulhiriya

WFH Option - Once a week


Responsibilities

  • Strategic Planning & Leadership: Develop and implement business development strategies to achieve organizational goals. Lead the business development team to meet and exceed targets.
  • Market Analysis & Opportunity Identification: Conduct thorough market research to identify emerging opportunities, industry trends, and competitor activities.
  • Client Relationship Management: Build and nurture relationships with key clients, stakeholders, and partners to drive long-term business growth.
  • Revenue Growth: Identify new revenue streams and business models, working to expand existing markets and enter new ones.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with sales, marketing, and product teams to develop business strategies, proposals, and marketing plans.
  • Contract Negotiation & Deal Closure: Lead negotiations, preparing proposals and contracts to ensure favorable terms for the company.
  • Performance Reporting: Prepare and present business development reports and performance metrics to senior management.
  • Team Development & Mentorship: Provide leadership, mentorship, and support to the business development team, ensuring they meet targets and contribute to organizational success.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Education: A Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, or a related field. An MBA is a plus.
  • Experience: Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in business development, with at least 5 years in a leadership role. Experience in [specific industry] is preferred.
  • Proven Track Record: Demonstrated success in developing and executing business strategies that resulted in revenue growth and market expansion.
  • Leadership & Communication Skills: Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and manage a team. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strategic Thinking: Strong analytical skills with the ability to think strategically and make data-driven decisions.
  • Negotiation Skills: Proven ability to lead contract negotiations and close high-value deals.
  • Results-Oriented: A focus on delivering measurable outcomes and achieving business objectives.
