Senior DevOps Engineer

The position

The ideal candidate will be responsible for implementing, monitoring, and managing core development tools and core infrastructure services while understanding the needs of stakeholders. Will also be responsible for supporting the IT Service Catalog and automation by being the bridge for related issues liaising with IT department. To be successful in this role, the candidate should have a good understanding of operations processes and tech stack. They should have experience with DevOps methodology and tools such as Puppet, Jenkins, Chef, Git, Docker,k8s etc.

Responsibilities

• DevOps Core Services Management and Administration. (Jenkins, Bitbucket, Vault, K8s, Artifactory, etc.)
• Engage in Infrastructure Automation and Configuration Management. (e.g.: Shell scripting, Ansible).
• Daily operational core devops services Infrastructure work, Monitoring, and Troubleshooting.
• System Administration, Maintenance, and Upgrades (Linux and Windows).
• Participate in technical tool proof of concepts and end-to-end implementation.
• Manage/Admin Virtualized Environments (VMware vSphere).
• Work collaboratively with Stakeholders (Development Teams, IT Department) for leveraged infrastructure service quality).

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience directly related to the responsibilities outlined.
• Experience in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) Tools and Technologies.
• Experience related to containerization and container orchestration Tools and Technologies (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes).
• An understanding of DevOps principles, processes, and culture.
• Infrastructure Management including Design, Implementation, and Maintenance.
• Experience in Virtual Machine Management/Administration.
• Be a strong team player, communicator, and a good negotiator.
• Strong Analytical, Troubleshooting, and Problem-Solving skills.

Having the Following will be an added advantage,

• Certifications related to Infrastructure Management and System Administration (e.g. Redhat, Linux Foundation, VMware, etc.).
• Experience in working with Prometheus, Grafana, and Dynatrace.
• Experience in designing and implementing backup procedures and disaster recovery plans.
• Experience in optimizing Infrastructure ensuring High Availability, Performance, and Security Compliance.
