Responsibilities

• Oversee oil and energy trading activities, monitor market trends, and provide research and reports to support strategic decisions and identify opportunities and risks. 
• Manage logistics operations, track shipments, negotiate contracts, ensure compliance, and handle shipping documentation. 
• Build and maintain strong relationships with the partners, negotiating terms, resolving issues, and ensuring customer satisfaction. 
• Collaborate with the sales team to develop strategies by sharing market insights, competitor activities, and customer feedback to identify new business opportunities. 
• Maintain accurate records of trading and logistics activities, ensure policy compliance, and prepare reports for stakeholders while supporting audits to meet industry standards.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Advanced Level qualification and/ or higher education qualification related to Logistics, Business Management. 
• 3+ years of experience in oil trading, logistics, or a related field. Knowledge of global oil markets, commodity pricing, and trading practices. 
• Should be a Collaborative team player Proficiency in MS Office. 
• A good knowledge of written and spoken English. Good PR and communication skills with a passion for work. Living in the Colombo district would be advantageous.
