WE ARE HIRING: Head - Legal

• Working Days: 5 Working days
• Working Time: 8.30 AM to 5.30 PM.
• Working Mode: Hybrid
• Contract type - Full-time Consultant
• Location: Colombo, Sri Lanka

Key Responsibilities

• Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating all types of local and international Commercial
  Contracts.
• Assist in Dispute resolution negotiations and liaising with external counsel in litigation
  matters.
• Draft and review Notary documents when required.
• Tender Governance.
• Risk management - identify the business risks and legal risks, and advise the board on
  Mitigation plans.
• Handling IP matters and product licensing.
• Advise the people & Culture team on employee contracts, employee disciplinary matters, and
  any other matter relating to HR. Introducing necessary processes.
• Liaising with government stakeholders and other external stakeholders
  

Qualifications:

• LLB degree from a recognized university
• LLM is an added advantage
• Attorney-at-Law with a Notary license in the Colombo jurisdiction
• 5-7 years of experience in the corporate sector
• Experience in the IT/ICT/Software sectors is an added advantage
• Strong drafting, analytical skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong research skills
• In-depth understanding of Contract Law, IP law, and technology-related legal
  issues
