Manager Supply Chain & Commercial

Location: Kelaniya 
Work Mode : On - site
Work Hours :  8.00 AM 5.30 PM (Full-Time)
Closing Date : Friday, 28th February

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Manager  Supply Chain & Commercial. The Head of Commercials and Supply Chain is responsible for overseeing the commercial strategy and supply chain operations. This role involves managing relationships with suppliers, ensuring efficient logistics, and driving cost-effective procurement. The individual will lead teams in sales, procurement, logistics, and operations, working cross-functionally to align supply chain activities with business goals.

Key Responsibilities

Import / Export Freight & Logistics Management

• Lead negotiations with stakeholders and third parties to obtain best rates, routes, and services.
• Oversee supplier contracts, ensuring compliance with SLAs.
• Train and develop teams to manage supply chain processes efficiently.
• Ensure timely shipment coordination and updates to key stakeholders.
• Work with the Redfern team on process improvements and cost-saving initiatives.
• Conduct supplier evaluations and SLA monitoring for continuous improvement.

3PL Management & Warehousing

• Manage 3PL contract finalization to optimize cost and service.
• Maintain strong relationships with 3PL providers and ensure service objectives are met.
• Train teams in 3PL processes and inventory management.
• Conduct regular stock audits to ensure accurate inventory reporting.

Stakeholder Management & Compliance

• Build and maintain relationships with BOI, Sri Lanka Customs, suppliers, freight forwarders, and clearing agents.
• Ensure compliance with all import/export regulations and warehouse requirements.
• Develop SOPs to enhance efficiency.
• Oversee 3PL audits and ensure timely reporting.

Procurement & Local Sourcing

• Evaluate and optimize local supplier purchases.
• Ensure cost-effectiveness and quality of materials and services.
• Manage on-time procurement to avoid business disruptions.
• Implement supplier contracts to secure continuity and competitive pricing.

Required Qualifications & Experience

10+ years of experience in Commercial & Logistics industry.
Mandatory qualification in Supply Chain / Logistics / Shipping.
Experience in freight forwarding, shipment planning, and negotiations (Incoterms 2010).
Prior experience in manufacturing, import/export, and bonded warehouses is an advantage.
Strong analytical, strategic, and problem-solving skills.
Experience in handling BOI, Customs procedures, freight forwarders, and couriers.
