REQUIREMENTS:

• · Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, v-lookup, etc.) required
• · Experience with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) required
• · Ability to interact and communicate effectively in a cross functional environment with other planners, customers, vendors, sales leads, merchandisers, and other personnel is required
• · Ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment is required
• · Must be comfortable learning new systems and adapting to new processes
• · Previous internship in Planning, Logistics, Customer Service, Sales and/or Retail/Wholesale/E-commerce (preferably in a Consumer Product Environment) is preferred
• · Working knowledge of MRP/DRP and inventory management systems is preferred
• · Consumer packaged goods background a plus
• · Efficient and organized, strong work ethic, energetic

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• · Assist in the development of item and location level supply plans based on current inventory, forecast, safety stock, and lead time requirements
• · Create and update vendor purchase orders to support replenishment and promotional demand
• · Execute expediting plans, update and cancel purchase orders based on weekly forecast changes and direction from management
• · Review forecast updates with Demand Planner(s) and execute supply planning actions
• · Work closely with Demand and Supply Planner(s) on forecasted sales to develop and actions strategies to drive sales
• · Communicate daily with Shanghai office & overseas agents on production priorities and factory issues
• · Communicate with local suppliers and manage domestic production schedules
• · Work closely with sales leads to provide updates on sales and inventory availability
• · Create work orders for domestic assembly, product reworks, and customer retail price ticketing
• · Run weekly back order reports and provide recommendations to maximize fill rates
• · Prepare customer Fill Rate Reports on a weekly basis and lead team discussion on risks and opportunities
• · Prepare margin analysis and obtain approvals from management.
• · Communicate with the merchandising team on any product updates/changes and manage product transitions
• · Track excess inventory to sell off slow moving inventory
• · Prepare Inventory Management reports as requested
