Senior Executive - Quality Assurance


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Implement and manage the built-in quality approach to enhance productivity through quality-driven processes
• Ensure material flow quality is maintained on time and within specifications.
• Oversee final product testing for Covering Plant (CP) and Yarn Dyeing (YD).
• Ensure all products meet internal and external quality standards, maintaining compliance with plant FTT, PTP, and DIFOT goals.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 9001:2015, GRS, TC, and Oeko-Tex 100 standards.
• Manage audit preparation, ensuring minimum findings during quality audits.
• Oversee the timely renewal and successful certification of the plant in relevant standards.
• Ensure timely calibration and servicing of lab equipment to facilitate accurate and continuous operations.
• Maintain equipment records and ensure adherence to calibration schedules.
• Ensure that the plant and products meet European regulations as stated under Oeko-Tex 100 Standard Class 1.
• Prepare the plant for Oeko-Tex audits and manage the renewal process.
• Organize training programs and exams for quality assurance lab technicians.
• Assess and improve technician skills through structured grading and development programs.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to resolve non-compliance issues identified during laboratory testing.
• Implement corrective actions promptly to minimize recurrence of issues and enhance product quality.
• Respond to customer complaints related to quality and work on corrective measures.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement, emphasizing quality control at every stage of production

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

Educational Qualifications:

Degree in Textile Technology or any related area.

Professional Experience:

• 5 years experience in Quality Assurance with minimum of 3 years experience in a similar capacity

Key Responsibilities:

• Quality Management & Compliance: Implement and manage a built-in quality approach to optimize productivity through quality-driven processes. Ensure that material flow quality is maintained on time and within specifications, and all products meet both internal and external quality standards, adhering to FTT, PTP, and DIFOT goals.
• Standards & Certification: Ensure compliance with ISO 9001:2015, GRS, TC, and Oeko-Tex 100 standards. Manage audit preparation to minimize findings and ensure the successful renewal and certification of the plant against these standards.
• Calibration & Equipment Management: Oversee the timely calibration and servicing of lab equipment to facilitate accurate and continuous operations. Maintain detailed equipment records and ensure adherence to calibration schedules.
• European Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that the plant and its products comply with European regulations as stated under Oeko-Tex 100 Standard Class 1. Prepare the plant for Oeko-Tex audits and manage the renewal process.
• Training & Development: Organize training programs and assessments for quality assurance lab technicians. Evaluate and improve technician skills through structured grading and development programs.
• Issue Resolution & Continuous Improvement: Collaborate with internal stakeholders to resolve non-compliance issues identified during laboratory testing. Implement corrective actions promptly to minimize the recurrence of issues and enhance product quality. Lead initiatives to identify and eliminate root causes of product defects or quality issues.
• Customer Focus: Address customer complaints related to quality issues and implement corrective measures. Foster a culture of continuous improvement, emphasizing quality control at every stage of production.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree or equivalent professional qualification in Textile Technology or a related field from a reputed university.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role within the textile or manufacturing industry.
• Strong project management and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capacity to work independently as well as part of a team.
