SOC Analyst 

Job Summary:

We are seeking a SOC Analyst Level 2 to monitor and investigate security alerts within a 24x7 Security Operations Center (SOC) environment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in SIEM, EDR, XDR, and SOAR tools, and will be responsible for incident analysis, threat investigation, and escalation to senior analysts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and investigate alerts in a 24x7 SOC operations environment.
• Analyze and escalate alerts based on severity and impact.
• Conduct log analysis, root cause identification, and evidence gathering.
• Collaborate with senior analysts to investigate high-risk incidents.
• Generate and maintain weekly, MIS, compliance, and firewall policy reports.
• Conduct peer reviews of closed alerts to ensure accuracy.
• Stay updated on emerging cyber threats, advisories, and IOCs, and cross-check in SIEM.
• Assist in fine-tuning SIEM rules and developing dashboards.
• Troubleshoot logging issues and coordinate with relevant teams for resolution.
• Ensure SOC metrics, including MTTD (Mean Time to Detect) and MTTR (Mean Time to Respond), are maintained within SLAs.
• Work with the support team to resolve technical issues in security tools.
• Provide daily SOC status reports to the SOC Manager and Cyber Security Director.

Requirements:

• A Bachelors or Masters degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or a related field.
• 2-3 years of experience in a similar SOC role.
• Hands-on experience with SIEM, EDR, XDR, and SOAR tools.
• Strong knowledge of cyber threats, attack vectors, and log analysis.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication skills in English.
