REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelors degree / Masters degree in Business administration or similar 10+ years experience
  • Management experience in Sri Lanka
  • Proficient in all Microsoft office applications (Excel, Word and power point)
  • Communicate professionally in English and local language at a business level (verbal and written)

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • P&L management for freight forwarding (Sea, Air, Customs Brokerage)
  • Sales responsibility for all products within Hellmann Sri Lanka (Freight forwarding)
  • Direct responsibility for following departments:

                 Freight forwarding operations (Sea, Air, Customs Brokerage)

                 Customer Service

                  Field and Strategic Sales

                  Product Management (Sea and Air)

                  Business Process Management.

  • Develop a strategy for freight forwarding business including creation of budgets and responsibility of achieving them
  • Drive development of new business with new and existing customers
  • Customers retention management through improved customer service and relationship management
  • Drive continuous improvement programs across all freight forwarding operations to cater to customers changing requirements and drive cost down
  • Foster effective teamwork between all departments in order to align towards strategic goals
  • Represent the company in the most professional manner in accordance with local legislation and all company policies / procedures
