WE ARE HIRING: General Manager Finance and Accounting

Work mode: onsite 

Working Hours:s 1:30 pm - 10:30pm (UK Hours)

)Working days: Monday - Friday

Core Competencies:

  • Insurance and Financial Services Expertise: Deep understanding of life insurance, particularly accounting and reporting.
  • Transformation Leadership: Proven ability to lead large-scale transformations and develop cross-functional strategies.
  • Operational Excellence: Expertise in process optimization and efficiency within complex structures.
  • Change Management: Strong knowledge of change principles, driving organizational buy-in.
  • Project Management: Skilled in Agile methodologies, delivering projects on time and within scope.
  • Cost Management and ROI Evaluation: Experience with financial modeling and delivering measurable ROI.
  • Stakeholder Management: Effective collaboration with senior leadership (CXO level) and cross-functional teams.

Technical Skills:

  • Understanding of Solvency II and IFRS 17 guidelines, and how they impact insurance accounting and reporting functions.
  • Experience in Actuarial Accounting would be an advantage.
  • Understanding of data analytics tools such as R, Python, or other relevant platforms is desirable.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira).

  •  Strategic Thinking: Ability to think long-term & develop strategies to meet business goals.
    
  •  Leadership: Strong leadership skills, with a focus on collaboration, motivation, and building high-performing cross-functional teams. Ability to provide direction, and make critical decisions.
    
  •  Influencing and Negotiation: Ability to influence senior leaders and stakeholders without relying on authority, using collaboration and mutual respect.
    
  •  Inquisitiveness, analytical and problem-solving skills to assess complex situations, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions and develop corrective action plans.
  • Collaboration: Proven ability to work collaboratively across diverse teams and geographies to achieve common goals.

Qualifications:

  • Professional qualifications in relevant disciplines (e.g., CIMA, ACCA, CA).
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Business Administration, Finance, Accounting).
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in transformation, operations, or related roles, with significant exposure to Life insurance operations.

Experience working in a multi-location environment with diverse teams is highly desirable.
