• Work Hours: will have core hours of 6pm-11pm local time with flexibility for the remaining 4 hours based on the needs of the team and the individual.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Supply Chain Strategy: Develop, implement, and continuously improve the supply chain and

production planning strategy in alignment with the company's overall objectives.

2. Demand Forecasting: Collaborate with the demand planning team to ensure accurate and

timely demand forecasts, and integrate this data into the supply planning process.

3. Inventory Management: Maintain optimal inventory levels, balancing the need for product

availability with the goal of reducing carrying costs and ensuring no stockouts or overstock

situations.

4. Supplier Collaboration: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating

terms, lead times, and pricing to secure favorable agreements.

5. Production Planning: Work closely with the production team to schedule and plan

manufacturing operations to meet demand forecasts.

6. Data Analysis: Utilize data analytics and supply chain software to analyze trends, identify

inefficiencies, and make data-driven decisions.

7. Performance Metrics: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for the supply planning team

and regularly monitor and report on their performance.

8. Continuous Improvement: Implement process improvements to enhance supply chain

efficiency, reduce costs, and increase service levels.

9. Risk Management: Identify and mitigate supply chain risks and develop contingency plans to

address disruptions in the supply chain.

10. Team Management: Lead, motivate, and develop a team of supply planning professionals,

providing guidance, training, and support to ensure team success.

Qualifications:

o Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, or a related field.

o Proven experience in planning and scheduling, preferably in a managerial role.

o Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

o Excellent communication and leadership abilities.

o Proficiency in planning and scheduling software/tools.

o Understanding of industry-specific regulations and best practices.

o Familiarity with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.

o Ability to work in U.S. Eastern Standard Time hours.

o Ability to work onsite in Colombo
