Consultant Data Protection

1.Working hours 9.00 am -  5.00 pm
2. Working days Monday - Friday
3. Working method - hybrid
4. Work location - Colombo


Key Responsibilities:

• Advise clients on data protection laws and regulatory compliance, including Sri Lanka PDPA, GDPR, and other relevant frameworks.
• Conduct data protection impact assessments (DPIAs) and compliance audits.
• Draft and review privacy policies, data processing agreements, and other legal documents.
• Assist in implementing data governance and privacy programs.
• Provide training and awareness sessions on data protection best practices.
• Support clients in handling data breaches and regulatory reporting.
• Stay updated on global data protection trends and regulatory changes.

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Law (LLB) or equivalent legal qualification.
• 2+ years of experience in commercial law, contract law, or regulatory compliance.
• Strong understanding of Sri Lanka PDPA, GDPR, and other data privacy frameworks.
• Experience in policy drafting, contract review, and legal advisory.
• Excellent analytical, research, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple client engagements.
