WE ARE HIRING: Software Engineer Business Automation

Job Summary

We are seeking a Software Engineer Business Automation with full-stack development experience to support the design, development, and implementation of workflow automation solutions that enhance critical business operations. This role requires expertise in both frontend and backend development, as well as a passion for building automation capabilities within enterprise environments. The role will involve working with IBM Cloud Pak for Business Automation (CP4BA) and collaborating with Business Process Reengineering (BPR) teams to automate and optimize business processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and customize business process workflows and automation solutions.
• Collaborate with Operations and BPR teams to identify automation opportunities and translate them into technical solutions.
• Develop custom workflow components, integration logic, and user interfaces using standard programming languages and automation tools.
• Connect workflows to external applications and services through REST or SOAP web service APIs.
• Ensure compliance with security, scalability, and performance standards.
• Participate in testing, deployment, and continuous optimization of automated workflows.
• Work with engineers and cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end automation projects.
• Stay updated with emerging automation technologies and industry best practices.

Required Skills & Technologies

• Core Development: Java and .NET for workflow components and integration logic.
• Frontend: JavaScript, React, Node.js, HTML, CSS for UI customization, scripting, and validation.
• Database / SQL: Strong SQL knowledge, writing complex queries, optimizing performance, ensuring integrity.
• Integration: REST / SOAP Web Services for application and service integration.
• Additional Tools: OCR technologies, content management, storage solutions. IBM Operational Decision Manager (ODM) is a plus.
• Methodologies: Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and DevOps practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
• 3-5 years of software development experience with proficiency in Java and .NET, plus tools like React and Node.js.
• Experience in business process automation and workflow design.
• Hands-on knowledge of process reengineering and automation.
• Experience in banking project development or working within the banking domain is preferred.
