Position: Head of Systems & Infrastructure

JOB ROLE

Requirements:

Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Advanced certifications (e.g., CISSP, ITIL, or PMP) are a plus.

Experience: Minimum of 8-10 years in IT infrastructure roles, with at least 5 years in a leadership or managerial capacity.

Technical Skills:

Expertise in network architecture, data storage, and cloud technologies (AWS, Azure).

Proficiency in security protocols, firewalls, VPNs, and encryption methods.

Strong knowledge of virtualization and containerization (e.g., VMware, Docker).

Familiarity with enterprise tools such as Active Directory, Windows Server, and Linux.

Leadership Skills: Proven experience in leading cross-functional teams, project management, and budget management.

Communication Skills: Ability to communicate complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders clearly and effectively

Responsibilities:

Infrastructure Strategy & Planning: Develop and implement a long-term strategy for IT infrastructure in alignment with company goals, including cloud adoption, data storage, and disaster recovery.

Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of IT professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement. Allocate resources, set objectives, and ensure that the team meets established KPIs.

Systems Design & Implementation: Oversee the design and implementation of robust systems, networks, and security protocols. Ensure that infrastructure scales with business needs and is both secure and efficient.

Network & Security Management: Manage network performance, security systems, and policies to protect against unauthorized access, breaches, and data loss. Ensure compliance with industry regulations and best practices.

Cloud & On-Premise Integration: Develop and manage a hybrid infrastructure strategy, integrating cloud and on-premises resources to optimize cost, flexibility, and performance.

Vendor Management: Work with vendors and external partners to ensure the availability and performance of essential systems. Negotiate contracts, manage service level agreements, and coordinate issue resolution.

Budgeting & Cost Control: Oversee budget allocation and expenditure for the IT infrastructure team. Identify cost-saving opportunities and optimize spending without compromising quality.

Incident Management: Lead incident response for infrastructure-related issues, minimizing downtime and impact on business operations. Establish effective processes for troubleshooting and resolving issues.

Reporting & Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of infrastructure architecture, processes, and configurations. Regularly report on system health, incident status, and project progress to senior management.
