Head of Purchasing

WE ARE HIRING: Head of Purchasing

• Working Days: Monday to Friday
• Working Hours: 8.00 am - 5.30 pm
• Working Location: Klautara, Sri Lanka 

Job Tasks:

• Supervise operational purchasing activities, including PO issuance in SAP, report analysis, and coordination with corporate purchasing teams.
• Manage procurement operations, ensuring timely ordering and delivery of machinery and equipment for plant needs.
• Implement and enforce corporate purchasing policies, maintaining full compliance with company standards and procedures.
• Act as SAP MM Local Key User, leading system support, user training, documentation, and coordination with the Central Key User for process implementation.
• Control budget and financial processes, supporting annual budget preparation, verifying purchase requests, and approving payments within authority limits.
• Oversee reporting, compliance, and materials introduction, including customs/tax exemption applications and coordination of raw material release and documentation.

Employee Profile:

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in purchasing, supply chain, preferably within the manufacturing sector.
• Prior experience in the rubber industry is highly desirable and will be considered a significant advantage.
• Demonstrated expertise in cross-functional team leadership, operational problem-solving, process documentation, and performance reporting.
