Customer Service Support

Key Responsibilities

Department: Customer Service
Location: Sri Lanka

PO Management

  • Track and manage Purchase Orders in the VML system
  • Follow up with clients, suppliers, and internal teams to gather required PO updates
  • Ensure PO information, including status, quantity, and delivery timelines, is accurately recorded and updated

VML System Maintenance

  • Regularly update and maintain the VML system to reflect real-time PO and job status
  • Collaborate with the Customer Service Team to verify data consistency
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies in records to ensure accuracy

Customer Support

  • Provide timely information to the Customer Service Team related to PO statuses
  • Respond to inquiries from internal teams and clients about shipment and PO updates
  • Assist in preparing reports and summaries for meetings or client communication

Collaboration and Communication

  • Coordinate with the Customer Service Team to ensure deadlines and service standards are met
  • Maintain proactive communication with clients, suppliers, and colleagues
  • Report system issues and recommend improvements to enhance VML usage

Qualifications and Skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • An associate's or bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field is preferred

Experience

  • 1-2 years of experience in customer service or administrative roles, preferably in freight forwarding or logistics
  • Familiarity with PO management and logistics software (e.g., VML) is a plus

Skills

  • Proficient in MS Office Suite, especially Excel
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Effective communication and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
