Junior Accountant - Accounts Production Opportunity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform bank reconciliations on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis within Xero and QuickBooks, maintaining accurate financial records.
  • Assist in the preparation of tax returns, including VAT and payroll taxes, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements.
  • Contribute to the preparation of financial reports for management, aiding in the delivery of essential financial information.
  • Detect and correct errors within the accounting software under the guidance of the Senior Accountant, ensuring data accuracy.
  • Engage in cross-training activities, both as a learner and a support provider, to promote knowledge sharing and a cohesive team dynamic.
  • Experience - 1-3 years of accounting practice experience ideally working in BPO environment
  • ACA/ACCA/CPA/CIMA/ATI qualified (Part-Qualified with experience).
  • Undergraduate degree in accounting, commerce (preferred)
  • Experience preparing monthly management reports
  • Experience preparing all the usual tax returns (payroll, VAT, corporation tax)(non Ireland is fine)

Experience

  • in Xero or comparable bookkeeping software (Quickbooks, Surf, Sage Online)
  • Other systems include Cin 7, Dext, Parolla/Brightpay, Fathom HQ/Syft, other Xero marketplace plug-ins, Amazon marketplace, Shopify/WooCommerce, Google Office.
