Job Description:

We are looking for a highly skilled and knowledgeable Network Administrator to become a key member of our IT team. This role is pivotal in maintaining our computing environment by identifying network requirements, installing upgrades, and monitoring network performance. The Network Administrator will also provide Level 3 Help Desk Support and assist the Systems Administrator.

The position demands significant knowledge of best practices in IT network security, infrastructure, and operations areas. The individual will be responsible for providing network support, troubleshooting, and design to meet the overall business IT networking and operations needs. This role requires exceptional troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced IT environment. It may require periodic travel to other facilities. Position will require after hours/weekend work when needed for emergency support, upgrades, or maintenance windows.

Key Responsibilities:

Network Management:

• Install, configure, and support the organization's LAN, WAN, and Internet systems
• Monitor network to ensure availability to all system users and perform necessary maintenance

Maintenance and Troubleshooting:

• Maintain and administer computer networks and related computing environments.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware, software, or other network and system problems

Security:

• Implement network security measures to protect data, software, and hardware
• Configure and maintain anti-virus and malware protection software

Performance Monitoring:

• Monitor network performance and make adjustments as needed
• Collaborate with network engineers to optimize performance

Documentation:

• Document network support activities and maintain logs and records

Research and Development:

• Research new technology for potential implementation
• Propose enhancements to the network
• Level 3 Help Desk Support
• Provide advanced technical support for both hardware and software issues.
• Mentor and guide Level 1 and Level 2 support staff
• Manage complex issues and escalate them appropriately
• Assisting the Systems Administrator
• Collaborate with the Systems Administrator in managing and maintaining server and storage environments
• Assist in implementing system policies and procedures
• Support system upgrades, migrations, and troubleshooting

Qualifications:

• 3-5 years extensive experience designing, supporting, and troubleshooting large, complex LAN/WAN environments
• Extensive experience with Cisco routing and switching infrastructure in a multi-protocol environment (EIGRP, BGP, OSPF etc.) and multi connectivity environment (SD-WAN, MPLS, VPLS, DMVPN, IPSec, LTE, etc.)
• Experience with IPS/IDS, Firewalls, DMZ, VPN, VOIP, QoS, DNS, DHCP, VMware networking
• Experience with wireless controllers and access points
• Experience with manufacturing, production, and warehouse environments
• Excellent organizational and verbal/written communication skills
• Superior troubleshooting experience and skills
• Exceptional hands-on experience with complex IT Systems solutions and business applications
• Positive, proactive, can-do attitude with the ability to work alone as an individual contributor, as a technical lead when required and as a participant in a team environment
• Learn quickly and adapt to new technologies
• BA or BS Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or Engineering required, or equivalent work experience
• CCNA Considered
• CCNP/CCIE Preferred
