Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Technical Manager to lead plant-level technical governance and ensure production readiness within a manufacturing environment.

The role focuses on bridging product development and plant operations while ensuring efficient execution of complex product constructions, technical risk mitigation, cost engineering, and manufacturing efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead plant-level technical governance from pre-production planning through bulk production execution.

• Conduct structured technical risk assessments before production launch.

• Ensure technical risks are documented, mitigated, and resolved before bulk production begins.

• Collaborate with product development teams to review upcoming product pipelines.

• Translate development concepts into structured plant readiness action plans.

• Identify technical capability gaps, machinery requirements, and process risks.

• Coordinate cross-functional action plans with IE, Production, and Quality teams.

• Drive manufacturing efficiency improvements including SMV optimization and construction engineering enhancements.

• Lead cost engineering initiatives through material optimization and process improvement.

• Oversee bonding and moulding process control to ensure production quality and reliability.

• Conduct root cause analysis for technical failures and implement preventive actions.

• Ensure compliance with internal quality standards and customer requirements.

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum 10 years of experience in apparel manufacturing technical roles.

• Strong expertise in bras, panties, moulding, bonding, lingerie construction, and mens underwear manufacturing.

• Proven experience in technical leadership within a manufacturing plant environment.

• Strong knowledge of manufacturing engineering, process optimization, and risk management.

• Experience working with cross-functional teams including Industrial Engineering, Production, and Quality.

• Exposure to international retailer technical standards is an added advantage.

• Sewing skill will be considered an advantage.
