Role Overview

Our client is seeking an experienced Technical Sales Manager to lead market development for a construction-related system used in building projects. This is a field-focused role requiring regular construction site visits and close interaction with contractors, engineers, site supervisors, and developers. The role is best suited for an energetic, mobile professional comfortable operating directly on construction sites.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and expand the market within the Western Province

• Visit construction sites, contractors, and project offices on a regular basis

• Promote products to contractors, builders, engineers, site managers, and developers

• Identify new projects and generate leads from active construction sites

• Conduct product presentations and explain technical applications

• Build strong relationships with construction professionals and key decision-makers

• Track ongoing projects and follow up until successful order conversion

• Provide market feedback and competitor insights to management

• Support technical discussions with a sound understanding of product applications

Qualifications & Experience

Experience

• Minimum 8–10 years of sales experience

• Must have experience selling construction-related products such as:

  • Building materials

  • Concrete-related systems

  • Structural products

  • Steel or reinforcement products

  • Construction hardware or systems

• Familiarity with construction site environments is essential

Educational Qualifications

• Minimum G.C.E. O/L and A/L

• Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Construction, or a related technical discipline will be an added advantage

Work Style & Mobility Requirements

• Highly self-driven, energetic, and proactive

• Comfortable working outdoors and on construction sites

• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage confidently with contractors and technical personnel

• Based in Colombo and able to cover the Western Province and surrounding areas

• Valid driving license required

• Company vehicle provided for extended travel
