Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced RPG Tech Lead to manage and lead technical teams in developing and maintaining applications on the IBM i (AS/400) platform. This role involves hands-on programming, technical documentation, and mentoring developers while ensuring adherence to agile practices and organizational standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain applications on AS/400 using RPG/400, RPGLE, CLLE, SDA, RLU, RPG FREE, SQL/400, SQLRPGLE, and DB2/400.
• Handle data queues and create technical documentation.
• Lead technical teams and mentor developers to improve agile practices.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and present technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Ensure system performance, reliability, and adherence to architectural standards.
• Work extended hours when required to meet project deadlines.

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
• Minimum 10+ years of RPG development experience (ILE RPG, Free-Format RPG).
• Deep understanding of IBM i (AS/400) operating system.
• Strong knowledge of DB2 for i and database concepts.
• Experience with modern RPG development tools (e.g., Aldon).
• Familiarity with software development methodologies (Agile, Waterfall).
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Knowledge of banking and financial domain is an added advantage.
• Experience with Web Services, APIs, and integration frameworks preferred.
