Role Overview 

We are seeking an energetic, customer-focused, and proactive Retail Sales Associate to join a premium retail environment at one of Sri Lanka's leading shopping destinations. The successful candidate will act as a brand ambassador, delivering exceptional customer experiences while supporting sales growth and maintaining high retail standards. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy customer interaction, sales, sports, and premium retail environments. The selected candidate will support customers through consultative selling, product recommendations, merchandising activities, inventory management, and daily store operations. 

Key Responsibilities Customer Engagement & Sales

• Deliver exceptional customer service and build strong relationships with local and international customers.
• Understand customer requirements and recommend suitable products based on their needs.
• Provide consultative sales support across sports equipment, footwear, apparel, and accessories.
• Create a positive shopping experience that encourages repeat business and customer loyalty.
• Actively contribute towards daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets and store KPIs.

Product Knowledge & Customer Support

• Develop and maintain comprehensive knowledge of product ranges, features, and benefits.
• Stay updated on new arrivals, promotions, seasonal collections, and product innovations.
• Educate customers on product usage, maintenance, and performance benefits.
• Provide accurate product recommendations and customer guidance.

Cashiering & Store Operations

• Operate Point of Sale (POS) systems accurately and efficiently.
• Process cash, card, and digital payments in accordance with company procedures.
• Handle customer receipts, exchanges, returns, and warranty-related inquiries.
• Support daily store opening and closing procedures.
• Ensure operational compliance with company policies and retail standards.

Visual Merchandising & Store Presentation

• Maintain high standards of visual merchandising and store presentation.
• Ensure products are displayed according to brand guidelines.
• Support shelf organization, replenishment, pricing, tagging, and product placement activities.
• Maintain cleanliness and presentation standards throughout the store.
• Assist with window displays, promotional setups, and merchandising updates.

Stock & Inventory Management

• Receive, unpack, and organize stock deliveries.
• Maintain stockroom organization and inventory accuracy.
• Support stock replenishment, inventory counts, and stock audits.
• Report damaged products, stock discrepancies, and low-stock situations promptly.
• Ensure products are available and displayed according to operational requirements.

Candidate Profile

• Female candidates only.
• Minimum G.C.E. Advanced Level (A/L) qualification completed.
• Minimum 1 year of retail sales experience.
• Experience within premium retail, sportswear, footwear, fashion, lifestyle brands, or mall-based retail environments will be highly advantageous.
• Fluency in English and Sinhala with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong customer service orientation and positive attitude.
• Professional appearance and excellent relationship-building skills.
• Passion for customer engagement and sales excellence.
• Interest in sports, fitness, tennis, padel, basketball, or athletic activities will be an added advantage.
• Ability to work independently as well as within a team environment.
• Willingness to work retail mall shifts, including weekends, public holidays, and evening rosters.

Working Conditions

• Full-time retail position.
• Shift-based working hours aligned with mall operational hours.
• Flexibility to work weekends, evening shifts, and public holidays is essential.
• Weekly off day provided according to the duty roster.
