Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced, commercially focused, and customer-centric Assistant Manager – Corporate Travel to join a leading Corporate Travel team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing key corporate accounts, driving outbound corporate travel sales, strengthening client relationships, and delivering exceptional travel management solutions to business customers. This role requires a highly motivated travel professional with strong corporate travel expertise, excellent stakeholder management capabilities, and a proven ability to drive revenue growth while maintaining exceptional service standards. The successful candidate will contribute to business expansion, client retention, and operational excellence while working closely with airlines, hotels, travel partners, and corporate customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and drive outbound corporate travel sales while ensuring achievement of individual and team sales targets.
- Manage and strengthen relationships with key corporate clients, travel coordinators, procurement teams, and decision-makers.
- Develop long-term customer relationships that drive repeat business and sustainable revenue growth.
- Provide strategic travel solutions, competitive fare structures, travel planning expertise, and value-added services to corporate customers.
- Act as a trusted travel consultant by understanding customer travel policies, budgets, and operational requirements.
- Monitor service delivery standards and ensure customer requirements are handled professionally and efficiently.
- Ensure operational KPIs, service quality expectations, and customer satisfaction benchmarks are consistently achieved.
- Liaise with airlines, hotels, destination management companies, travel partners, and suppliers to secure the best travel solutions.
- Lead, guide, mentor, and motivate team members to deliver exceptional service and operational excellence.
- Support recruitment, training, coaching, and development initiatives within the Corporate Travel team.
- Identify new corporate travel opportunities and contribute to expanding the corporate travel portfolio.
- Conduct business development activities and support acquisition of new corporate clients.
- Prepare sales forecasts, revenue reports, performance analyses, and management updates.
- Monitor travel industry developments, supplier updates, airline changes, and competitor activities.
- Gather market intelligence and customer insights to support strategic business decisions.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance customer experience and operational effectiveness.
- Handle complex travel requests, escalations, and customer concerns while ensuring timely resolution.
- Collaborate with internal departments to ensure seamless service delivery and achievement of commercial objectives.
Candidate Profile
- Minimum 6–8 years of experience in Corporate Travel, Business Travel Management, or a related travel services role.
- At least 2 years of experience in a supervisory capacity.
- Professional qualification in IATA is required.
- Experience working with Global Distribution Systems (GDS) such as Amadeus, Sabre, or Galileo will be an added advantage.
- An existing customer portfolio or established network within the corporate travel sector will be a distinct advantage.
- Strong understanding of corporate travel planning, travel procurement, airline products, fare structures, and customer servicing.
- Proven ability to manage corporate accounts and achieve sales and revenue targets.
- Strong business development, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
- Excellent leadership capability with the ability to inspire, motivate, and develop teams.
- Outstanding communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to service excellence.
- Ability to manage multiple clients, priorities, and travel requirements efficiently.
