Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Security Engineer to support cybersecurity operations, SIEM and SOAR engineering, incident response, cloud security, threat monitoring, and security reporting within the telecommunication industry.

The selected candidate will be responsible for monitoring security events, analyzing alerts, responding to incidents, optimizing security platforms, supporting cloud security best practices, and strengthening the organization's overall security posture.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze security events using SIEM platforms such as Microsoft Sentinel, LogRhythm, and Splunk.
• Respond to security incidents, support containment activities, and document actions taken.
  
• Fine tune SIEM configurations to improve threat detection and alert accuracy.
• Support log ingestion, data enrichment, and automation through SIEM and SOAR platforms.
  
• Integrate threat intelligence feeds to strengthen proactive threat monitoring.
• Prepare security reports and provide insights on risks, trends, and improvement areas.
  
• Support cloud security best practices across Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud environments.
• Collaborate with IT, security, compliance, audit, and business teams to strengthen security controls.
  

Candidate Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or relevant work experience.
• Minimum 3 plus years of experience as a Security Engineer or SOC Analyst.
  
• Minimum 3 plus years of SIEM or SOAR engineering experience.
• Hands on experience with Microsoft Sentinel, LogRhythm, Splunk, or similar SIEM platforms.
  
• Knowledge of Microsoft security tools, Log Analytics, KQL queries, and SOAR platforms.
• Familiarity with Python, PowerShell, Bash, cloud security, DevSecOps, and security automation.
  
• Understanding of networking, security protocols, operating systems, databases, and incident response.
• Professional certifications such as Microsoft Security, Azure, CompTIA Network plus, CompTIA Security plus, or other cybersecurity certifications will be an advantage.
  
• Strong analytical, problem solving, communication, reporting, and stakeholder management skills.
