Role Overview

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to support HVAC, plumbing, and firefighting system design for building services projects within the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction industry.

The selected candidate will be responsible for preparing mechanical design drawings, calculations, technical documentation, authority submissions, and coordination work for residential, commercial, mixed use, hospitality, villa, and high rise development projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare mechanical design drawings and calculations for HVAC, plumbing, and firefighting systems.
• Develop concept, schematic, detailed, and authority submission designs.
  
• Coordinate with architectural, structural, electrical, and other engineering disciplines.
• Ensure designs comply with UAE authority regulations, UAE Civil Defense requirements, and project standards.
  
• Apply international codes and standards including ASHRAE, NFPA, IPC, UPC, and local plumbing codes.
• Prepare technical reports, specifications, and design documentation.
  
• Review shop drawings, material submittals, and contractor proposals.
• Attend coordination meetings with clients, consultants, and project teams.
  
• Provide technical support during project execution and construction stages.
• Support timely project delivery while maintaining design quality and coordination standards.
  
• Use design software such as AutoCAD, Revit MEP, and relevant engineering tools for project development.

Candidate Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 4 to 10 years of experience in MEP or building services consultancy.
  
• UAE or GCC consultancy experience will be preferred.
• Experience in residential towers, villas, commercial buildings, hospitality, and mixed use developments.
  
• Strong knowledge of HVAC design principles, plumbing systems, and firefighting systems.
• Good understanding of UAE authority requirements, ASHRAE standards, NFPA codes, and sustainability requirements.
  
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, HAP, Elite, or equivalent HVAC software.
• Knowledge of pipe sizing and hydraulic calculation software.
  
• Good proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong technical, analytical, coordination, and problem solving skills.
  
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Good communication skills and ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary project teams.
