Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Asst. Manager / Manager – IT Infrastructure & DBA to oversee and manage IT infrastructure operations, ensure system performance, and maintain secure and scalable environments. This role focuses on infrastructure management, database administration, and supporting enterprise IT systems within a dynamic educational environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily IT infrastructure operations ensuring high availability, performance, and security
• Design, implement, and maintain infrastructure solutions including virtualization, storage, and networking
  
• Manage and optimize virtualization environments and server systems
• Administer Linux/Ubuntu, Windows Servers, and database systems
  
• Manage and maintain databases such as Oracle, MongoDB, and PostgreSQL
• Implement container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes and Docker Swarm
  
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to streamline CI/CD pipelines and automate deployments
• Ensure robust security measures including firewalls, encryption, and access controls
  
• Monitor and troubleshoot server, network, and storage performance issues
• Provide technical guidance and support to IT teams and engineers
  
• Evaluate and implement new technologies to enhance IT operations
• Maintain documentation for systems, processes, and policies
  
• Lead and mentor IT team members to drive performance and innovation

Candidate Profile

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in IT infrastructure or system administration roles
• Experience in education or enterprise IT environments will be an added advantage

Skills & Competencies

• Strong expertise in virtualization technologies and infrastructure management
• Proficiency in Linux/Ubuntu and Windows Server administration
  
• Hands-on experience with database systems (Oracle, MongoDB, PostgreSQL)
• Strong knowledge of networking (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN) and storage (SAN/NAS)
  
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, Oracle Cloud)
• Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD, and automation tools
  
• Strong understanding of IT security best practices (firewalls, SIEM, IDS/IPS)
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  
• Strong leadership and team management capabilities
• Ability to work under pressure and handle critical infrastructure issues
  
• Willingness to support after-hours operations and emergencies
