Role Overview

We are seeking a senior logistics professional to lead regional multi-modal freight procurement and operations across sea, air, and land transportation. The role focuses on driving operational excellence, cost optimisation, supplier and carrier management, transformation initiatives, and compliant end-to-end execution aligned with business growth objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead regional sea, air, and land freight procurement and operations strategy aligned with logistics goals

  • Manage end-to-end freight procurement including carrier selection, contract negotiation, rate management, and performance monitoring

  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with shipping lines, airlines, trucking partners, freight forwarders, and logistics service providers

  • Drive transformation initiatives including digitalisation, sustainability, risk mitigation, and process standardisation

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders across supply chain, operations, finance, compliance, and commercial teams

  • Monitor global trade trends, freight market dynamics, fuel costs, capacity constraints, and regulatory changes

  • Drive continuous improvement of procurement and operational KPIs, SLAs, and supplier scorecards

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing regional logistics and operations team

  • Prepare and present management reports, dashboards, and strategic updates on performance, costs, and risks

  • Act as operational backup for customer service teams, including independent shipment handling and documentation

  • Manage manifests, customs submissions, EDO processes, and ASYCUDA-related compliance and coordination

  • Ensure error-free operations through strong process control and compliance initiatives

  • Manage container deposits, guarantees, settlements, payables, receivables, and operational finance reporting

Qualifications

Experience & Skills

  • 6–7 years of experience in logistics, freight procurement, and operations across sea, air, and land transportation

  • Proven experience managing multi-modal procurement operations and complex supplier and carrier negotiations

  • Strong understanding of international shipping practices, Incoterms, customs regulations, and trade compliance

  • Experience managing high-volume or FMCG-driven supply chains will be an added advantage

  • Strong leadership and stakeholder engagement skills with cross-functional and regional team exposure

  • Familiarity with logistics ERP systems, procurement platforms, analytics tools, and digital logistics solutions

  • High proficiency in spoken and written English with strong reporting and presentation skills

  • Strong analytical, decision-making, and risk management capability
