Role Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Deputy General Manager (DGM) to oversee operations, drive business expansion, and guide strategic direction for a fast-growing online marketplace. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in revenue growth, platform optimization, partnership development, and cross-functional leadership supporting the organizations next phase of growth and market strengthening.
This role reports directly to the Director and requires strong leadership, operational excellence, and a results-driven mindset.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the online marketplace to ensure smooth platform performance and operational efficiency.
- Drive overall business growth through vendor acquisition, category expansion, and strategic partnerships that enhance platform value.
- Lead and coordinate Business Development, Marketing, Customer Service, and Operations teams to ensure alignment and high performance.
- Identify opportunities to improve revenue, streamline processes, and elevate customer satisfaction.
- Monitor key performance metrics and ensure continuous improvement across all operational areas.
- Collaborate with leadership to shape strategic plans, market direction, and business priorities.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with external partners, suppliers, and stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with company standards, operational policies, and quality benchmarks.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelors degree in Business Management, Marketing, Operations, or a related field (Masters preferred).
- Minimum 7-10 years of experience in operations, business management, or marketplace/e-commerce leadership roles.
- Proven ability to manage cross-functional teams and lead large-scale business operations.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Demonstrated success in driving business growth and operational excellence.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, and evolving environment.
