Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Tech Lead – AI Solutions to serve as the technical integration bridge between core banking systems, digital channels, customer data platforms, and advanced AI models.

The selected candidate will focus on application-centric AI engineering by designing API wrappers, event-driven architectures, integration layers, and failover mechanisms required to securely connect AI models with legacy and modern enterprise applications. The role will also oversee the technical integration of vendor-delivered AI solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the architecture, design, and integration of scalable AI solutions across enterprise banking systems.
• Design secure API layers and event-driven integration patterns connecting AI models, customer data platforms, and legacy applications.
• Treat AI and machine learning models as external services and develop reliable production integration mechanisms.
• Translate business and product requirements into robust technical architectures and integration solutions.
• Serve as the communication bridge between engineering teams, business stakeholders, product teams, and external vendors.
• Lead technical discussions, solution reviews, system-design decisions, and integration planning.
• Manage project timelines, estimate technical tasks, allocate resources, and monitor delivery progress.
• Coordinate with vendors to ensure the smooth implementation and productionization of AI use cases.
• Review vendor solutions and ensure alignment with enterprise architecture, security, performance, and operational requirements.
• Design secure failover, fallback, and recovery mechanisms for AI-enabled customer journeys.
• Ensure AI integrations do not introduce unacceptable system delays, security risks, or service disruptions.
• Support the modernization of large-scale applications and legacy banking systems.
• Provide technical leadership, code-level guidance, architecture reviews, and mentoring to engineering teams.
• Troubleshoot complex software, integration, API, infrastructure, and production issues.
• Ensure solutions meet scalability, reliability, security, availability, and performance standards.
• Maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams, integration specifications, and delivery records.

Candidate Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in software engineering, system integration, or a related technical role.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in AI engineering or AI solution integration.
• Previous experience as a Tech Lead, Senior AI Engineer, Integration Lead, or a similar role.
• Experience working with large-scale enterprise applications, legacy systems, and IT modernization initiatives.
• Exposure to enterprise banking, financial services, or regulated technology environments will be a strong advantage.
• Strong ability to translate business requirements into practical technical solutions.
• Excellent technical leadership, stakeholder management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple technical priorities and delivery deadlines.
• Strong professional judgment with the ability to challenge unsafe, unrealistic, or unsuitable technical requirements.
• Ability to work collaboratively within structured enterprise and IT environments.

Technical Skills

• Strong programming experience in Java, Spring Boot, and Python.
• Strong knowledge of REST APIs, SOAP APIs, and API gateways such as Apigee or Kong.
• Experience with message brokers such as Kafka and RabbitMQ.
• Hands-on knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, and modern DevOps practices.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Google Cloud Platform.
• Familiarity with Cloud Run, containerized applications, and scalable cloud deployment models.
• Understanding of AI and machine learning model consumption in production environments.
• Knowledge of AI integration patterns, model APIs, latency management, monitoring, and failover design.
• Good understanding of database systems and enterprise data integration.
• Experience designing secure, scalable, and event-driven software architectures.
