Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced, strategic, and people-focused Assistant Manager / Manager – Human Resources to lead HR operations, recruitment, employee relations, performance management, compliance, HR governance, workforce planning, and employee engagement within a fast-paced technology and services environment.
The selected candidate will work closely with senior leaders and department heads to support business growth, strengthen HR systems and processes, drive recruitment for technical and operational roles, and build a scalable HR function that supports organizational performance and employee experience.
Key Responsibilities
HR Operations and Business Partnering
- Lead and manage day-to-day HR operations across the organization.
- Partner with senior leaders and department heads on workforce planning, organizational growth, and talent development.
- Provide HR guidance and support to managers on employee matters, policy application, performance, and people-related decisions.
- Support business leaders in building high-performing teams aligned with business objectives.
- Drive HR initiatives that support company growth, ownership, and meaningful work.
- Ensure HR activities are aligned with organizational values, business needs, and compliance requirements.
Talent Acquisition and Workforce Planning
- Drive end-to-end recruitment for technical, operational, commercial, and leadership roles.
- Manage sourcing, screening, interview coordination, selection, offer management, and onboarding.
- Build recruitment pipelines to support current and future hiring needs.
- Partner with hiring managers to understand manpower requirements and role expectations.
- Improve recruitment workflows, hiring processes, and candidate experience.
- Support workforce planning across multiple teams and locations.
- Maintain recruitment reports, hiring trackers, and recruitment performance metrics.
Employee Lifecycle Management
- Manage employee lifecycle activities from onboarding to exit.
- Ensure new employees are properly onboarded and integrated into the organization.
- Maintain accurate employee records, documentation, HR letters, and HR system updates.
- Support probation reviews, confirmations, transfers, promotions, and internal movements.
- Coordinate employee exit processes, exit interviews, clearances, and final documentation.
- Ensure employee data is accurate, confidential, and updated in HR systems.
Employee Relations and Engagement
- Manage employee relations matters professionally and confidentially.
- Handle workplace concerns, grievances, disciplinary matters, conflict resolution, and employee communication.
- Act as a trusted HR contact for employees and managers.
- Promote a positive, respectful, and productive work environment.
- Support employee engagement initiatives, surveys, action plans, and culture-building activities.
- Drive employee communication and engagement programs across teams.
- Support retention initiatives and identify employee experience improvement opportunities.
Performance Management and Talent Development
- Strengthen performance management processes across the organization.
- Support goal setting, performance reviews, feedback cycles, and development discussions.
- Partner with managers to address underperformance and improve team productivity.
- Support succession planning, talent development, and leadership capability building.
- Identify learning needs and coordinate training or development interventions.
- Support career development initiatives and internal growth opportunities.
- Build KPI-based people processes that support accountability and business performance.
HR Policies, Compliance and Governance
- Develop, review, and implement scalable HR policies and procedures.
- Ensure HR practices comply with employment legislation and organizational governance standards.
- Maintain compliance controls across recruitment, employee relations, documentation, performance, and HR operations.
- Support audits, HR reviews, and internal compliance checks when required.
- Ensure HR policies are communicated clearly and applied consistently.
- Maintain confidentiality, integrity, and professionalism in all HR matters.
- Support organizational development and change management initiatives.
HR Systems, Analytics and Reporting
- Use HR systems, HR analytics, and reporting tools to support data-driven decision-making.
- Maintain accurate HR dashboards, employee data, recruitment reports, and performance reports.
- Improve HR systems, workflows, reporting, and analytics to support business growth and scalability.
- Support HRMS and recruitment workflow tools where applicable.
- Prepare management reports on recruitment, headcount, attrition, employee relations, performance, and HR operations.
- Identify process gaps and recommend improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy.
- Support automation and digital improvement of HR processes where possible.
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Work closely with leadership, department heads, finance, operations, recruitment teams, and external partners.
- Support teams across multiple locations and business units.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders on HR-related activities.
- Provide coaching and guidance to managers on people management, communication, and HR best practices.
- Support a fast-paced growth environment through strong coordination, follow-up, and execution.
Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Management, or a related discipline.
- Professional HR qualification such as CIPD, SHRM, PHR, SPHR, or an equivalent qualification will be an added advantage.
- Minimum 8 years of progressive HR experience.
- At least 3 years of experience in a senior HR leadership, HR business partnering, or organizational development role.
- Experience supporting technology, professional services, shared services, logistics, BPO, or fast-growth multi-entity organizations will be preferred.
- Proven exposure to recruitment, employee relations, performance management, HR operations, and supporting teams across multiple locations.
- Strong understanding of contemporary HR practices, employment legislation, organizational development, and HR governance.
- Strong expertise in talent acquisition, workforce planning, employee lifecycle management, performance management, and succession planning.
- Ability to establish scalable HR policies, governance frameworks, compliance controls, recruitment operating models, and KPI-based people processes.
- Proficiency in HR systems, HR analytics, reporting, Microsoft 365, and data-driven decision-making.
- Exposure to HRMS and recruitment workflow tools will be preferred.
- Strong stakeholder management and leadership influence.
- Strong business partnering capability with senior leaders and department heads.
- Excellent communication, coaching, problem-solving, negotiation, conflict resolution, and change-management skills.
