Role Overview

We are seeking a results-driven Project Engineer – Construction to manage construction, renovation, and fit-out projects within a retail and manufacturing environment.

The selected candidate will be responsible for overseeing showroom construction and renovation projects, coordinating with contractors and technical teams, monitoring project budgets, and ensuring timely, cost-effective, and high-quality project delivery. This role requires strong civil engineering knowledge, practical exposure to MEP coordination, and the ability to manage multiple project sites effectively.

Key Responsibilities

Construction & Project Management

• Oversee construction and renovation projects, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
• Manage showroom construction, retail fit-outs, and commercial interior projects from planning to completion.
• Supervise site work to ensure quality, safety, and regulatory compliance.
• Monitor project progress and ensure all work is completed according to approved timelines and standards.

Site Coordination & Technical Support

• Coordinate with architects, contractors, consultants, and MEP teams, including mechanical, electrical, and plumbing functions.
• Conduct site evaluations and feasibility assessments for new showroom or project locations.
• Review project requirements and provide technical input to support smooth execution.
• Ensure high-quality finishes aligned with brand standards and customer experience expectations.

Budgeting, BOQ & Reporting

• Prepare BOQs, cost estimates, and project-related documentation.
• Monitor project budgets and support cost control throughout the project lifecycle.
• Maintain accurate project records, progress updates, and site reports.
• Identify project risks, delays, or cost concerns and recommend practical solutions.

Multi-Site Project Execution

• Manage multiple projects simultaneously across different locations.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery.
• Support contractor management, vendor coordination, and project follow-ups.
• Ensure all project activities are completed with strong attention to detail and operational efficiency.

Candidate Profile

• Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 5–8 years of experience in commercial construction, retail fit-outs, showroom construction, or renovation projects.
• Strong working knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, with exposure to MEP coordination.
• Experience in showroom, retail, commercial interior, or manufacturing-related projects will be a definite advantage.
• Strong project management, contractor handling, and site supervision skills.
• Ability to prepare BOQs, cost estimates, and project reports.
• Good understanding of safety standards, regulatory requirements, and construction quality standards.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
• Willingness to travel frequently to project sites.
• Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
