Role Overview

We are seeking a target-driven and customer-focused Sales Executive – Coffee Beans & Coffee Machines to promote and sell coffee beans, coffee machines, and related coffee solutions to customers in the HORECA sector.

The selected candidate will be responsible for developing new business, maintaining strong customer relationships, conducting product presentations and coffee tastings, following up on inquiries, coordinating installations and deliveries, and achieving sales targets while ensuring customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with HORECA sector customers, including hotels, restaurants, cafés, and catering businesses.
  • Promote and sell coffee beans, coffee machines, and coffee-related solutions to achieve sales targets.
  • Identify new business opportunities and expand the customer base within the assigned territory.
  • Generate leads through market visits, referrals, networking, and customer research.
  • Conduct product presentations, coffee tastings, and machine demonstrations for potential clients.
  • Understand customer requirements and recommend suitable coffee products, machines, and service solutions.
  • Prepare quotations, proposals, product information, and commercial offers for customers.
  • Follow up on inquiries, sales leads, quotations, and pending customer decisions.
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and service requirements to convert prospects into long-term customers.
  • Coordinate with internal teams for machine installations, product deliveries, and after-sales service requirements.
  • Ensure smooth handover of confirmed orders to operations, delivery, technical, and service teams.
  • Maintain regular follow-ups with customers to ensure satisfaction and repeat business.
  • Build long-term customer relationships through professional communication and reliable service.
  • Monitor competitor activities, market trends, pricing, and customer preferences.
  • Provide market feedback to support business growth and product improvement.
  • Maintain accurate customer records, sales activities, pipelines, and follow-up updates.
  • Prepare regular sales reports, customer updates, and target-achievement summaries.
  • Achieve monthly and annual sales targets while maintaining profitability.
  • Represent the company professionally during client visits, product demonstrations, and business meetings.
  • Perform any other sales or customer-support duties assigned by management.

Candidate Profile

  • Diploma or qualification in Sales, Marketing, Business Management, Hospitality, Food and Beverage, or a related field will be an advantage.
  • Previous experience in sales, business development, account management, or customer relationship management will be preferred.
  • Experience selling to the HORECA sector, including hotels, restaurants, cafés, and catering businesses, will be a strong advantage.
  • Experience in coffee products, coffee machines, food and beverage products, hospitality supplies, or FMCG sales will be preferred.
  • Strong ability to identify new customers and develop business opportunities.
  • Good sales, negotiation, presentation, and closing skills.
  • Ability to conduct product demonstrations, customer visits, and business presentations.
  • Strong customer relationship management and follow-up skills.
  • Good understanding of customer service and after-sales coordination.
  • Target-oriented, self-motivated, and able to work independently.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good command of English, both written and spoken.
  • Ability to communicate in Sinhala or Tamil will be an advantage.
  • Good planning, coordination, and time-management skills.
  • Ability to travel for customer visits within the assigned territory.
  • Basic computer literacy, including Microsoft Office and email communication.
